NORMALITY ENGINE

NORMALITY ENGINE translates the planetary anomaly tables of all five planets from Ptolemy's Almagest (2nd century CE) into a continuously evolving soundscape. Five frequency layers, Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Venus, Mercury, run simultaneously at rates derived from their synodic periods, each mapped to its own frequency range through the equation of anomaly. The result never repeats exactly within a one-hour loop. The sound is produced through a subwoofer concealed beneath the plinth, ranging from 40 to 210 Hz; felt in the body as much as heard. The physical object is a wall-mounted metal AED cabinet, a readymade: the device designed to restore cardiac rhythm now executes cosmic normality.
